We were asked to re-envisage the BAFTA Identity for their broadcast and online programming. Our concept from the very start was to subtly tease the audience before revealing the master brand.
The process started almost 4 months ago when we had the BAFTA scanned in 3D allowing us to capture the incredible detail of a real mask. We then spent time getting the look and feel just right, before finally animating the mask in a series of moves to create several versions of the ident.
A longform version for BAFTA Productions was also created, as well as a shortform version of both.
